A sneak peek at Lovely Views 4.5 🔍

We hope you’ve been enjoying Lovely Views 4.4 and the improvements it brought to your everyday workflow. We’ve now been working on the next major update, and Lovely Views 4.5 has plenty to look forward to.

The new version will give you more ways to browse tickets, a full side viewer beside your results, the ability to reply without opening the Zendesk ticket, a new Agent Home, and plenty of improvements throughout the app.

Here’s an early look at what’s coming.

A new way to browse with card view

Prefer something more visual than a traditional table? The new card view will give you another way to browse tickets in Views, Seek, Bookmarks, Activity, and Agent Home.

Switch between table and card view whenever you like, choose how much information appears on each card, and expand individual cards when you need more detail.

Card view will also make it easier to spot conversation activity and unread tickets while moving through your results.

Meet the new side viewer

One of the biggest additions in 4.5 is the side viewer.

It opens beside your results, giving you the full ticket while keeping your current list visible. You’ll be able to check the requester, status, SLA, comments, side conversations, pinned comments, and more without losing your place.

If AI summaries are available for your Zendesk account, you’ll see those in the viewer too.

Open the side viewer from a ticket row or preview, then resize it to suit your workspace. You can also switch between full and compact headers or keep the viewer open as you move between tickets and views.

Reply without opening the full ticket

The side viewer won’t just be for reading. You’ll be able to work on the ticket directly from the panel.

Add a public reply or internal note using the rich-text editor, attach files, choose a new status, and submit the update, all while your results remain on screen.

You’ll also be able to change a ticket’s status without adding a comment, or submit it as New where Zendesk permits.

For agents working through a queue, this should make reviewing and updating tickets noticeably quicker.

Find the comments that matter

Large ticket conversations are about to become much easier to work through.

Filters in the side viewer will help you focus on particular types of comments, such as public replies or internal notes. Longer threads will use Gmail-style collapsing, so you can scan the conversation and expand only the parts you need.

Inline images in preview and side viewer will also open at full size when selected.

Side conversations, right where you need them

Side conversations will appear directly in the side viewer.

You’ll be able to follow the discussion alongside the main ticket and open linked child tickets in their own workspace tab when you need a closer look.

Share searches with your team

Admins will be able to share search templates and saved searches with other Lovely Views users.

Shared search templates will give agents a ready-made starting point for common searches, while shared saved searches will make frequently used results available without everyone needing to set them up individually.

This will make it easier to standardize useful searches across your team while still allowing agents to create and manage their own personal searches.

Your work, together in Agent Home

Lovely Views 4.5 will introduce Agent Home, a new area under Extra.

It will bring together an agent’s current workload, with tickets organized into folders and counts displayed for each section. An Updates view will show recent ticket activity, making it easier to see what has changed since you last checked.

Agent Home will include:

  • Your work, organized into folders
  • Ticket counts for each folder
  • A view of recent updates
  • Folder pagination and per-page controls
  • Table and card layouts
  • Preview and side viewer

If you haven’t chosen another Home view, Agent Home tickets will become your default.

Display options in one handy menu

The new view mode menu will bring the main display controls together.

From one place, you’ll be able to switch between table and card view, expand or collapse ticket text, show or hide summary rows, and choose how much detail appears on your cards.

The menu stays open while you make changes, so it’s easy to try different layouts and find the one that works best for you.

Use preview, side viewer, or both

Sometimes a quick preview is enough. Other times, you need the full conversation.

In 4.5, preview and side viewer will each have their own setting under view options. You can keep both available or use whichever best suits the way you work.

You’ll also be able to choose whether comment notes and pinned comments appear in preview, side viewer, or both.

Translate comments from preview or side viewer

If translation is supported by your Zendesk account, you’ll be able to translate comments directly from preview or side viewer.

That means you can quickly check a translated comment without opening the full ticket first.

Say hello to Mr Blue Sky

Lovely Views 4.5 will add a fresh new light theme called Mr Blue Sky.

It will be available alongside the existing light and dark themes, giving you another option for personalizing your workspace.

More room to work on smaller screens

Lovely Views will also become more flexible when screen space is tight.

Seek tabs and page numbers will move into compact dropdowns when needed. The views list will be able to collapse into a narrow strip, while less important search details will move out of the way when the side viewer is open.

Preview, the comment editor, and the side viewer will also adjust more smoothly as the available space changes.

And there’s more

Along with the headline features, version 4.5 will include plenty of improvements across Views, Seek, Bookmarks, Activity, Agent Home, preview, and side viewer.

You can expect smoother ticket loading, faster navigation through large lists, clearer Seek results, more consistent custom status labels, improved user and organization searches, and better handling of Home views, Favorites, and folder preferences.

We’re looking forward to getting Lovely Views 4.5 into your hands. We’ll share the complete release notes and updated user guide when it’s ready.
