Quickie & Lovely Views: Why changes may not be saved

Some Zendesk users may notice that after making changes in Quickie or Lovely Views - such as adding a template, setting a Favorite, or creating a saved search - the change appears at first but disappears after reloading.

Why this happens

This is due to a Zendesk issue with saving certain user profile data. When Zendesk does not record the update, the app cannot keep those changes. We’ve reported this to Zendesk and are waiting on their fix.

Workaround

To get around this issue:

  1. Click your avatar in the top-right corner of Zendesk and select View profile from the dropdown menu.


     
  2. Once your Profile page has opened, return to the app and make your changes again (e.g. saving a Favorite, template, or search). All changes for the whole session should now be saved permanently.

Next steps

  • We’re monitoring this closely and will share updates once Zendesk releases a permanent fix.
  • In the meantime, we’re also developing a workaround within our apps to minimize the impact.
