Zendesk has just released native Dark Mode support across their platform, and many teams are eager to see their full workspace follow suit—including their apps.
Lovely Views already supports Dark Mode, offering a dark-themed experience across both the main app interface and the sidebars. While our Dark Mode doesn't currently mirror Zendesk’s newly released theme, it provides a visually cohesive, high-contrast alternative that’s easy on the eyes and reduces glare.
How to enable Dark Mode in Lovely Views
Main app interface
- Click Menu from the views list controls.
- Select Dark mode or Dark mode (lighter).
This will update the Lovely Views interface with a darker color scheme.
Sidebars (ticket, user, and organization)
- Click Menu (three dots) from the views list controls.
- Select About / Preferences.
- Click Browser-device specific.
- Toggle Dark Mode for sidebar ON. (This only works if Dark Mode is already enabled for the main app.)
- Reload Zendesk to apply the change.
This gives you a seamless dark theme across both the main app and any sidebars where Lovely Views appears.

The "lighter" version provides a dark theme with slightly less contrast, for those who prefer a softer look.
How this relates to Zendesk’s new Dark Mode
Zendesk is currently working on a way to automatically cascade their native Dark Mode theme to all apps, so that app interfaces will visually match the rest of the Zendesk workspace without needing separate settings.
While this isn’t in place yet, it’s worth noting that Lovely Views may eventually need to be set to Light Mode in order for Zendesk’s own Dark Mode to fully apply. We’ll keep a close eye on their rollout and adapt Lovely Views as needed to ensure a smooth experience for all users.
